The West and Wales Rail Prospectus is a vision for rail investment across North Wales and North West England. It would help to deliver 300,000 new jobs and boost productivity, home-building and well-being. It builds on work within the Growth Track 360 prospectus and sets out an ambitious vision for rail investment in an important economic area.This strategic rail prospectus has been created by a unique collaboration of public and private sector organisations from Cheshire West and Chester, North Wales, Warrington and Cheshire East, and with the backing of Liverpool City Region and Greater Manchester.
Our prospectus calls for investment in the strategic rail hubs of Crewe, Warrington, Manchester Airport and Chester, so that HS2 can fulfil its true potential for investment right across our regional network, improving connectivity and mobility.
